Checkie has practised Hatha Yoga for over 20 years exploring, refining and training in different disciplines including Sivananda, Ashtanga, Iyenga, Dru Yoga and Life Force Yoga. Her yoga is holistic and meditation orientated. Nature, movement and creativity are also used as meditations. She has been the yoga teacher for Wildfitness since its inception.

Checkie meditates as a way of life and has spent time in both Osho's Ashram in Pune India and the Siddha Yoga Ashram in Ganeshpuri. These large Meditation Centres deal in all aspects of consciousness including the creative arts and the  exploration and understanding of  the other seven, psychological and spiritual limbs of yoga.

Checkie's trade and background is the body/mind field. She is a qualified Councillor, Energy Worker, Healer and a Body-Worker.

Checkie exudes energy and health. She alternates between teaching dynamic, structured yoga classes and a kind of soft, flowing Tai Chi yoga which releases energy blocks from the body. Add to that daily yogic meditations, massages, workshops and a truly stunning location and you've got a good idea of the holiday.
